KVIFF (Karlovy Vary Independent Film Festival) held in Karlovy Vary, Czech!

Welcome
Festival was created by entertaining group specialising on filmmaking, holding big events and media promotions.
KVIFF - unique platform where talented filmmakers can exchange experience, work together, build international creative groups and make movies abroad.

Missoin
The festival aims to provide a cultural alternative to the commercial film experience, support independent filmmakers, and promote the art of filmmaking.

We’re looking for interesting stories, twists, great cinematography, music videos, unique vision.

Structure

Every three months we’re announcing winners in all categories and participants of yearly screening.

Event
Offline event will be held in October for 5 days with opening day on Day of the emergence of the independent Czechoslovak Republic.

RULES
1) To submit a film, the filmmaker must own the rights or have permission from the owner.
2) KVIFF accepts all film types. However, filmmakers need to apply the right category. If it is not in the right category the jury has a right to disqualify the film.
3) International registrations will be on https://filmfreeway.com/karlovyvaryiff
Entry fees are non-refundable.
4) KVIFF does not accept non-proper content such as extremist content or sexually explicit movies.
5) Filmmakers/Producer can submit their films in multiple categories.
6) The deadline, notification date, and event date can be changed by KVIFF.
7) The filmmaker agrees to give permission that KVIFF can use parts of their film such as teaser, poster, trailer, and director photo for promotional purposes.
8) In case of selection for the KVIFF event, the English subtitles (srt. files) should be sent by the filmmaker.
9) Any film that is not in English must have English subtitles.
10) KVIFF does not pay screening fees.
11) Selected films should provide higher resolution (at least 720p) of their films for screening.
12) For the official competition, not all the submissions will be selected. The jury decides the winners.
13) Not every submission is selected for monthly, annual, or special screening days. The jury decides the winners.
14) KVIFF judges decide the winners. KVIFF juries are free to make their own choices and no answers will be given about not selected films.
15) By entering your film for consideration into the KVIFF, you accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual property therein. The official submitter and all filmmakers associated with the film shall indemnify and hold harmless the KVIFF and any representative or affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening and loss of or damage to the data provided.
